Dyeing large corn kernels is such a wonderful thing 🌽🌈. After playing with them, you can put them in a transparent bottle that catches children's eyes and display it in a visible place. This way, you can play with them again whenever you want.
Rainbow dyed corn is a great sensory material for children to explore and play with. It can be used for a variety of activities, such as sensory bins, art projects, and learning activities. Children can use their hands to scoop and pour the corn, or they can use tools such as scoops, spoons, or funnels to manipulate the material. The different colors of the corn can also be used for color sorting or counting activities, making it a versatile and educational material. Rainbow dyed corn is a fun and easy way to add color and excitement to sensory play.
We placed the corn kernels in a large zip lock bag, add a few drops of food coloring to the bag, and shake it well until the corn kernels are evenly coated in the dye. My children enjoyed and appreciated each and every step of the process.
